Right, and even though I feel like Medium isn't paying me enough, I totally agree with you. With anything in life, only the best bunch get the majority of prizes. We don't live in a socialist economy and we are all capitalists by nature so if you want something, you have to earn it.

That being said, it wouldn't hurt if Medium spent more on advertising and sponsorship costs like other subscription platforms such as Skillshare for example to increase the number of readers on this platform.

Alternatively, they could increase the royalty pool for the writers and have it be more like $10 million instead of $2 million so that there is more of an incentive to get to the top.

It's kinda sad that your earnings will by nature be capped and no matter how good your words are, you will never earn above a certain amount.
