We have all been lied to at some time in our lives. Whether it’s our own kids, a co-worker, a friend, or your spouse, we as human beings are programmed to be deceitful from the moment we are born!

From innocent white lies that we tell to secure our social status or to protect our friends to deception on the political level, telling lies is as easy and natural to us as walking or sleeping!

However, when it comes to spotting lies and deceitful behaviour, that becomes a whole another challenge that seems almost impossible to do, especially when the lies are communicated to us are as believable as the truth.

At least, that’s what I thought before I stumbled across a book named Spy The Lie.

This book, written by former CIA officers Philip Houston, Michael Floyd, and Susan Carnicero, opened my eyes to the other side of humanity, exposing secrets kept by CIA officials and revealing methods used in high-stakes interviews.

After reading the book, I became much more conscious of the lying cues and telltale signs of deceptive behaviour that, when I tried it out in my day-to-day life, I was astonished at how well it worked!
